These terms are the agreement between you and Anchored Development LLC ("we", "us") for using Spyglass: the iPhone and iPad app, the Spyglass server it talks to, and its integrations with GitHub, Vercel, Railway and Supabase (together, "Spyglass"). They apply whether you use Spyglass yourself or install one of its integrations on an account or team. By installing or using Spyglass you accept them; if you don't, please don't use it.
Our terms of service cover website and app projects we build for clients. They don't apply to Spyglass, and these terms don't apply to client projects.
Development and Beta Status
Spyglass is in development. The current Vercel integration is a development and test registration, and the app is distributed only to invited testers (for example through TestFlight). Features may change, be unfinished, or be removed, and data may need to be reset. Please don't rely on Spyglass as your only way to watch or manage production systems.
Your Licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use Spyglass for your own development work, or your organisation's, under these terms. If you got the app through Apple's App Store or TestFlight, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; where the two differ, the more protective of you applies to the app on your device. Apple isn't responsible for Spyglass or for supporting it.
We, and our licensors, keep all rights in Spyglass not expressly granted to you.
Permitted Use
You may use Spyglass to review, edit, commit, merge and monitor code and services you are allowed to access. You agree not to:
- use it on accounts, repositories, projects or databases you aren't authorised to access;
- break or work around its security, rate limits or the permissions you granted;
- reverse engineer, resell, sublicense or offer it as a service to others, except where the law allows this despite these terms;
- use it in breach of the terms of GitHub, Vercel, Railway, Supabase, Apple or any other service you connect.
Your Accounts and Your Data
You stay responsible for the accounts you connect and for what you do through Spyglass, including commits, merges, SQL you run and actions you confirm. Spyglass asks for confirmation before changes that are hard to undo, but those changes are made at your request, under your accounts.
Your code, projects, deployments and data remain yours. You give us permission to access and process them only as needed to provide Spyglass to you, as described in the Spyglass privacy policy.
Integrations and Third-Party Services
Spyglass works through services we don't control. Their availability, limits, pricing and terms are theirs. In particular:
- Vercel: the integration reads integration configuration, projects and deployments with read-only permissions. It doesn't change your Vercel projects. You can limit it to specific projects or uninstall it at any time from Vercel's dashboard; see the documentation.
- Railway and Supabase: optional actions that change a service or database are off until you switch them on, and each asks for confirmation.
- AI suggestions: optional features such as suggested commit messages send the relevant diff to Anthropic to generate a suggestion. Review suggestions before using them.
Fees
Spyglass is free during development and testing. If we introduce paid plans, we'll tell you the price before you're charged and you can choose not to continue.
Feedback
If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them to improve Spyglass without any obligation to you.
Termination
You can stop using Spyglass at any time: uninstall its integrations, disconnect them in Settings, delete the app, and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend or end your access if you breach these terms, if it's needed to protect Spyglass, its users or the services it connects to, or if we discontinue Spyglass, in which case we'll give reasonable notice where we can. When access ends, the licence ends, and we delete the data we hold for you as described in the privacy policy.
Support
Email contact@anchoreddev.com. We'll help on a reasonable-effort basis; during development there is no guaranteed response time or uptime.
Disclaimers
Spyglass is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We don't promise that Spyglass will be uninterrupted or error-free, that status it shows is always current, or that a build shown as ready means an application is working.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data or goodwill, arising from Spyglass. Our total liability for any claim about Spyglass is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us for Spyglass in the twelve months before the claim, or US$50. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law rules, and disputes will be handled in the courts located in Santa Rosa County, Florida, unless the law where you live gives you a right to bring them elsewhere.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as Spyglass develops. We'll post changes here with a new "Last updated" date and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email. Continuing to use Spyglass after a change means you accept the updated terms.
